Professor Tohid Didar holds Canada Research Chair (CRC) in NanoBiomaterials and is an Associate Professor of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, and a member of the Institute for Infectious Disease Research (IIDR) at McMaster University. Before joining McMaster in January 2016, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University where he developed a Dialysis Like Treatment for sepsis. He has published over 100 journal papers and has over 40 filed or granted patents. He has been recognized with over 30 national and international awards, including Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS) and NSERC’s Arthur B. McDonald Fellowship.
